- If Arlington schools are CLOSED, then games in Arlington County are cancelled.
- If Arlington schools are opening late, then games in Arlington County are played as scheduled.

- When Fairfax County Public Schools have a schedule change (closing or delay) due to inclement weather or other emergencies, the information is communicated as soon as the decision is made in these ways:
- Posted on TV Channel 21 (Cox Communications and Reston Comcast cable customers only.
- Recorded on the FCPS hot line, 800-839-FCPS (3277), in English, Korean, and Spanish.
- Sent via e-mail to subscribers to the Keep in Touch e-mail notification system.
- Called in to area radio and televisions stations.
- As always, if the FCYBL website indicates games are cancelled, then no games are scheduled and refs are cancelled.
